Does HEMP use the Lymphatic System?
A complete understanding of your health is an essential part of supporting wellness. Learning about your body’s internal processes, how to care for them, and what wellness looks like for you is the best way to promote and maintain full-body health.
All too often, the lymphatic system is left out of the conversation about physical health, partially because many people don’t understand its importance. But this system has a vital role in health, and it’s also a major player in the absorption of HEMP products.
What Is the Lymphatic System?
Known as the body’s drainage or sewage system, your lymphatic system is responsible for numerous critical functions. It’s part of the immune and circulatory systems, including the tonsils, spleen, thymus gland, and lymph nodes. It doesn't just protect you from illness: it’s also in charge of functions like:
- Absorbing fats and fatty acids from the digestive system
- Maintaining your fluid levels
- Sustaining a healthy cardiovascular system
- Managing cancer cells
The Role of the Lymphatic System in Full-Body Health
Blood plasma makes up more than half (55%) of the blood volume in your body. The amber-colored liquid is made not of blood cells, but of proteins and other components of whole blood.
When blood circulates throughout the body, that blood plasma leaves the vessels to end up in tissues, where it can deliver oxygen, protein, and hormones to cells. As it delivers those nutrients, the plasma also removes waste products of cell metabolism from the tissues and gives that waste to the organs that handle its disposal.
Most of that fluid is transported back into the blood circulation, but about 10% stays behind and becomes lymph. Lymph, the extra fluid that forms when blood plasma and other interstitial tissue fluids drain into the lymphatic system, moves into lymph vessels where it can reach the lymph nodes.
The lymph nodes then filter lymph with lymphocytes, or white blood cells, that collect and destroy dangerous bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells. The filtration process is an important part of immune system function, keeping your body healthy.
Lymphatic functions like dietary fat absorption, filtration, and fluid level maintenance are only possible when the lymphatic system is working at its fullest potential. If it’s working at limited capacity due to blockages, infections, or disease, it can lead to issues like chronic fatigue, depression, lymphedema, and even cancer.
A Healthy Lymphatic System and HEMP
If you want to maintain your lymphatic system health, the best way to do so is by eating a whole-food diet, exercising, and reducing environmental toxins. However, the HEMP compound may offer another important insight on how best to support this system.
Everything we know about the endocannabinoid system (ECS) indicates that HEMP and the lymphatic system are highly connected.
The ECS is another regulatory network within the body, but it's in charge of the homeostasis of different functions. It regulates:
When HEMP is ingested, it likely interacts with cannabinoid receptors present in the brain, digestive, and lymphatic systems. These receptors help cannabinoids like HEMP take the necessary action in the body.
Further, some of the most efficient forms of HEMP - Nano-Amplified and Water-Soluble HEMP - use the lymphatic system as a distribution network. As Nano HEMP is ingested, the fast-acting HEMP can be absorbed into the lymphatic system because they are either bonded to a Long-Chain Triglyceride (LCT) or are water-soluble and can be directly absorbed.
With our knowledge of the intake process of Nano-Amplified and Water-Soluble HEMP, we've seen just how important the lymphatic system is for the absorption and delivery of HEMP.
Promoting your full-body wellness involves caring for every part of the body, including the lymphatic system.
In addition to learning about the lymphatic system and other important elements, we also want to help you stay informed about HEMP and its potential benefits. We hope that a fuller understanding of HEMP can help you feel empowered to reach your health goals.
